The Sacrifice for a Dream

This is a video ‘The Sacrifice for a Dream’ of the Cancel Cancer Africa medical outreach sponsored by Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) in a joint venture with Pan Ocean Oil corporation (Nigeria) Limited carried out on the 25th and 26th of October 2018.

The medical outreach covered eight rural communities across Agbonmoba, Abe, Iguemokua and Ona-Ageka in Edo State and Ovade, Otefe, Mosogar and Ugbakele/Owe in Delta State.

The two-day medical outreach which were held at the above-mentioned communities featured six medical doctors, two pharmacists, sixteen nurses and twelve volunteers, focusing on:

• Maternal checks and counselling,
• Breast examinations/screening,
• Malaria test/administration of free drugs,
• Cervical and prostrate examination,
• Dental checks,
• Blood pressure checks and referrals,
• Weight checks
