At the heart of the L.A.C Games is our commitment to amateur participation. We deliberately use the term “amateurs” to emphasise inclusivity—welcoming participants from all backgrounds and skill levels, including those often excluded from mainstream competitive sports.
Teams are independently selected, trained, and managed by their communities, each with varying levels of experience. This decentralised model empowers diverse groups to engage with the Games in ways that reflect their unique contexts and capacities.
The categorisation process—coordinated by dedicated international volunteers—ensures fair and safe participation, while encouraging broad engagement across regions and demographics.
By removing traditional barriers to entry, the L.A.C Games create a platform where sport becomes a catalyst for unity, development, and awareness, particularly around critical causes such as cancer education and prevention.
