Charity Ambassador

buy chabsuk tickets here My name is Karen Messam and I want to kindly invite you to be my guest at a forthcoming charity event that is close to my heart. Please come help me make this event a success. Cancer is a disease that has impacted almost every one of us. It is a disease that we assume most people are aware of.

It is hard to think that there are still areas of the world that are unaware of the early signs and symptoms of Cancer, and do’t have places for simple tests and treatment. This is why I have decided to put my heart into supporting Cancel Cancer Africa, a UK charity working to reduce the rate of Cancer mortalities in Africa.

The work of Ronnie Jacobs is a testament to the compassion and spirit that we all can provide for our fellow man, woman and children. His passion and vital work in educating people about the early signs and symptoms of cancer, building a rural health centre, with his own hands, and supporting doctors in some of the most deprived areas of Africa.

Together we can Cancel Cancer Africa! I want to kindly invite you to come and join me make this event a success.

Chief beautician, make up artist and owner Karen Messam has always been a girly-girl; from a tender age she found a passion for getting dolled up, fixing hair, doing make up and just everything involving glam! Karen stems from a creative background – growing up in Jamaica, her and her brother would have drawing and painting competitions which stimulated their talent and imagination (he went on to become a tattoo artist).

KM’s BACKGROUND

A desire to create was at the foundation of Karen’s elevation. Her first job was working in a hair salon; assisting with washing, braiding, tonging and setting hair. However, this was not enough for Karen, she wanted to branch off and do something bigger. At the age of 15 she was self-taught in the art of doing lashes, brows, make up, manicures, pedicures etc – this was the development of her keen eye for detail and in the midst of this Karen truly felt in her element as this was the platform for her to fulfil her dreams.

After high school, her dreams really began to manifest itself. She worked in a beauty salon in Elephant & Castle Shopping Centre for 5 years, alongside that, Karen qualified with certifications in professional make up artistry and beauty therapy at The London School of Beauty & makeup and The London College of Beauty Therapy. From this, Karen became a name that was sweeping across London, she had development a reputation as one of the top make-up artist in urban London.

Currently, Karen is working freelance and operates a home-base and mobile beauty service for a diverse, ethnic clientele. Her portfolio clearly demonstrates her style and versatility. Besides her beauty service, one of her greatest satisfactions comes from the flourishing of her own natural, organic products which are free from herbicides and pesticides.

Look out for bigger and better things coming from Karen in the year of 2015; including a wider range of organic products, the launching of her photography service and her party planning service. “Make up is indeed my passion; it is more than just enthusiasm or excitement – as the days go by I think, eat, sleep beauty! My business mind-set never stops and I am always trying to be the best at what I do – trying to keep up with new treatments and techniques.” ~ Karen Messam
